We are seeking two additional Independent Board members to join the Board of PATH.
PATH is a positive action organisation and provider of training for BME adults and young people, to address under representation across all levels of employment. PATH holds a respected place in the voluntary sector market within Leeds for its expertise with BME communities. The 2013 – 14 Business Plan sets out the 5 principal aims of PATH:
- To reduce inequalities in BME Employment, Education and Training participation levels
- To address under-representation and discrimination in the labour market
- To increase the visibility and profile of PATH
- To maintain high standards of responsible and timely financial management
- To maintain effective governance, management, quality and administration arrangements
Our Board members are appointed for a term of 3 years, which may be extended for a further 3 year period. The Board meets in the early evening at least four times a year, together with an away day and training days amounting to a minimum commitment of 9 times a year. Expenses are paid.
The organisation is currently undertaking a strategic review to identify future priorities for 2014/15 onwards. This is therefore an ideal time for two additional Board members to contribute to the future of a voluntary sector organisation with over 25 year’s proven experience of reducing inequalities in employment, education and training participation levels for disadvantaged groups.
We are particularly looking for Board members who can add to the experience and knowledge of the existing board in relation to: commercial and business acumen, marketing, finance and employment and training sector knowledge.
PATH values diversity and encourages applicants from all sectors of the community.
