We recently enjoyed listening to ‘The amazing history of Leeds’ thanks to Keith Williams, Conservation Officer with Leeds City Council. He took us through the fascinating journey of Leeds and how it became the great city it is, surviving change and constantly reinventing itself. Keith took us through the growth in population, infrastructure and trades and the move through the industrial revolution to the national centre for services and innovation.
Our next event brings us back to the present and ‘Health, Wealth & Happiness’. Paul Lambert, Advanced Health Improvement Specialist from Public Health will introduce this topic.
“Leeds has an ambition to be the best city for health and wellbeing. For this ambition to be achieved we need to inspire the next generation and tackle on elf the greatest causing of premature ill-health and death – tobacco. This workshop will highlight how reducing smoking is not only good for health, but good for business and good for the economy. Furthermore it will present the recently launched regional campaign Breathe2025 and show how you can be part of the vision to inspire the next generation to be tobacco free.”
This event will take place on the morning on 22nd July – exact time and venue to be confirmed. If you would like to receive updates on this and all our other events please subscribe to this website at the bottom of this page.
